1.5GHz or faster processor
1Gb RAM or higher for Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 10. 2Gb recommended.
1Gb available hard disk space
For single monitor systems a 64Mb Graphics card which supports 32-bit colours and a minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.
For dual monitor systems, 64Mb of graphics memory should be available per monitor. For example, a dual output graphics card on a desktop machine should have at least 128Mb of dedicated memory, which supports 32-bit colours. USB graphics adapters for a second monitor are not supported. Video playback on dual monitor systems is dependent on the processor and graphics performance of the machine.
System text settings of 96dpi (text size 100% - the default for Windows) and 120dpi (text size 125%). Higher Windows text size settings are not supported currently.
HD video playback on screens other than the primary is NOT recommended with the Video control. When evaluating Repeat Signage, please test with the computer and screen (or screens) you intend to use to display your digital signage content. The new Flash video control gives a good alternative to the Video control and you can convert your videos to Flash free of charge using software such as Free Studio. For playing videos across multiple screens, the Flash video control is recommended.
Windows XP 32-bit or 64-bit with Service Pack 3 or greater

Windows 8 32-bit or 64-bit
Windows 8.1 32-bit or 64-bit

IMPORTANT FOR XP USERS - Windows Media Player must be updated to version 11 or greater in order to display video content correctly. Windows Vista comes with V11 and Windows 7 with V12 already installed. Repeat Signage requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or later to be installed on Windows XP. The setup program will automatically install this if this is not on your machine.
IMPORTANT NOTE EMBEDDED WINDOWS USERS - Repeat Signage can be installed on embedded versions of Windows including Windows Embedded Standard 2009. However, Repeat Software does NOT support installations on these systems. If you do decide to use Repeat Signage on embedded versions of Windows and you will need to deal with write filters to ensure that when Repeat Signage is installed that this is saved between reboots. Please refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff769914(v=winembedded.60) for more information.
Internet Explorer is used to display website pages in Repeat Signage. Minimum version is version 8
Adobe Flash Player V9 or above. This can be downloaded free from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. It is likely that this is already installed on your computer.
Windows 8 note - This is already embedded into Internet Explorer 10, so doesn't need to be downloaded.
When videos are created they use a piece of software called a codec to encode the video file. You need to have the same codec on your machine in order to play that video file. See the Wikipedia entry for more information on codecs. You will need to download a codec pack from the Internet such as the K-Lite Codec Pack. The free K-Lite Basic Code Pack should be sufficient for most video files.
All monitors attached to your system must use 32-bit colours. Repeat Signage will prompt you to view Display Settings from the Windows Control Panel if it detects that 32-bit colours are not being used.
