When you create a Repeat Signage presentation, you have the option of creating a presentation with the Template Wizard. Repeat Signage lets you create presentations, in any resolution, either landscape or portrait, for your display screens by inserting pictures, text, date and time, RSS feeds and other media, either onto a themed or blank template. Training videos are available at YouTube/RepeatSoftware
Example of a presentation for a hospital waiting room, created with Repeat Signage Standard edition software.
It is designed in portrait (vertical) rather than landscape orientation (horizontal), for example: 720x1280 pixels.
The top right corner of the presentation displays the date. This can be displayed in various formats, in words (day, month and year). The clock can be displayed in AM/PM format or 24 hour clock format, and both date and time automatically update themselves in any time zone.
The top half of the screen is displaying the current hospital waiting time. The '45 minutes' is text from a text label hosted on a free www.repeatserver.com account and can be quickly changed by a member of the hospital's staff, which then updates the screen automatically.
In the middle of the screen is an RSS feed of hospital news and the bottom of the screen shows a picture slide show with text of current hospital information. You can easily create, using the RSS feed creator, and publish your RSS feeds from www.repeatserver.com, for use in Repeat Signage presentations.
The Flash banner control is used to display your images, and you can include text captions over the images if you wish.

QR and barcodes can also be inserted into presentations so that patients can capture these on their phone to gain more information about procedures or services.

The presentation sample also includes a playlist of images of hospital services, which equally could be a video, whilst an RSS feed keeps patients updated on current announcements and news. The software also supports Unicode for display country characters.

Repeat Signage presentation template for surgeries featuring patient call
The white 'NEXT PATIENT CALL' area with the text 'Mr Joe Bloggs' and 'Dr Nadeer's office' is collected from a Rich Text File (RTF) in the same folder as the presentation called PatientCallScreen1RTF.rtf. When this file is changed it is automatically reloaded to update the screen with the next patient's name and an audio file is played to alert patients in the waiting room.
The idea behind file monitoring is that this information can either be changed manually by someone typing in new text to the PatientCallScreen1RTF.rtf file and saving when the dentist or doctor is ready. Patients who are waiting can view playlists of images and read RSS news feeds.

You can create a presentation to display properties for estate agents or property management services such as this simple design featuring a logo, text, a playlist of images with captions using the Flash banner control, and an RSS news feed in Repeat Signage Standard edition.
We were asked by a UK company (see case study), who supply IT services to estate agents, if it could play RightMove.co.uk property files. We worked with this company to create Repeat Signage for UK Estate Agents. This version has all the features of the Repeat Signage Standard edition with an extra RightMove feed player control.

Repeat Signage presentation sample for an interactive touch screen display
All the Repeat Signage software editions have touch screen support. This is a presentation sample showing a basic touch screen presentation for illustration.
Desktop touch screen monitors for customer interaction are available in doctors surgeries and some stores. An example, would be in a jewelers where customers could browse through an off-line web page catalogue and then call an assistance when they wish to view an item. Touch screen presentations are also ideal for use in kiosks, such as hotel reception areas, to view hotel facilities and browse onscreen restaurant menus and spa facilities.
When designing your Repeat Signage presentation on your non-touch screen computer, in the Settings - Touch menu, you can select the 'Show mouse cursor whilst touchscreen presentation playing'.
This allows you to check all your 'touch' links and then you can disable it and activate a password when playing your actual Repeat Signage presentation on an interactive display.Trial download Touch screen overview
When you create a touch screen presentation with Repeat Signage, you have a 'touch screen box' which you can drag to your required area, width and size. I created a few html web pages with Microsoft ExpressionWeb and linked the index.html page to the touch screen box.
I then created the rest of the presentation with a green background, and an RSS feed along the bottom of the page. The name of flower shop was text rotated into a vertical position. For the touchscreen buttons, I inserted a single line of text, with a pink background, and rounded corners, and in the Action box linked it to the relevant html web page web page, and saved the presentation.
When the presentation is played, you can click the buttons with your mouse cursor to test all the buttons go to the relevant pages. Repeat Signage also has 4,000 icons including arrows and buttons that can be used. See touch screen overview.
